Setting up Microsoft Authenticator 2FA (Two Factor Authenticator)
Microsoft Authenticator must be set up on your phone with your ISL e-mail. The Microsoft Authenticator app can be found on the Apple Store for iPhone users or Google Play Store for Android phone users.
Once downloaded on your phone or computer, go to Security info -https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info and sign in with your ISL e-mail.
From there go to add sign-in method and select Authenticator app. Hit next until you see the QR Code displayed on the screen. Now on the Authenticator app, select Add Account and choose Work or School Account. After that select scan QR Code and use the camera on your phone to scan the QR Code displayed on the screen. From there it will automatically set 2FA for you on the app.
If you get a new phone and try to set up the MS Authenticator again it won’t generate a code. If you still have your previous phone, you’ll need to take out your e-mail from the MS Authenticator if you still have it and go to the security-info page to delete it. Same case if your phone is lost or stolen.
